MUSICAL BRAIN SCAN SERIES: ASH REITER

Dear world, we hope that you had a great summer. We're very thrilled to be back with a new GMK Musical Brain Scan playlist. For this new episode, we would like to introduce to you Ash Reiter. She is the vocalist and the guitarist of Sugar Candy Mountain.

The band describe themself as a space-age blast of psychedelic pop and Tropicalia that sounds like it could have reverberated right out of Phil Spector’s echo chamber.

If Brian Wilson had dropped acid on the beach in Brazil and decided to record an album with Os Mutantes and The Flaming Lips, it would sound like this— featuring space-age sounds and far-out frequencies from the tripped our tropics.
